Wedding of Eric & Phoebe

If I had to choose one word to describe this wedding it would be beautiful. Beautiful flowers, dress, bride, locations, customs, light and all round just beautiful.

I really felt privileged to be a part of Eric & Phoebes day. Being one of only a few people there that couldn't speak Chinese (other than to say hello) the day became more about the visual for me. As a photographer this allowed me to focus on the people and watch for the moments.

Daren Sirbough album cover shoot

Here are a couple of stills I took for Daren Sirbough's new E.P 'Where We Belong'. When Daren first played me three tracks on a laptop at Grind one weekday morning I was immediately keen to get involved as I could tell he loves his craft, which is a great quality, so people watch this space... James & Amanda

Weddings outside of Sydney are always of great interest to me as I love a good scenery change, and what better scenery then rolling hills, grape vines, wild kangaroos and great barrel halls, all of which were found at James and Amanda’s stunning wedding in The Hunter Valley.

Now as far as weddings go James and Amanda’s was fairly traditional except for one key ingredient… All the guests (including the parents of the bride and groom) had been assigned a character to attend the wedding as. Characters included the Blues Brothers, Mary Poppins, former Prime Minister John Howard, Kick ass and a whole host of others. This helped to make for some unique family photos while also creating a fun and party like atmosphere that continued long into the night.

The ceremony and reception were held at the Hope Estate Pokolbin, Hunter Valley.

Dale & Erin's engagement shoot

I love shooting couples that forget that I'm there and with Dale & Erin it didnt take them long before they were comfortable in front of my lens. Our shoot toook place at the Gunnamatta Bay Baths in Cronulla and we were lucky enough to have such a warm sunny winter morning with such amazing light.

James & Amelia's Wedding

This wedding was special for two reasons;

1. The bride writes a fashion blog thesewswapandsalvageproject.blogspot.com but the catch is... her blog is on salvaged fashion! She had to search long & hard for a second hand gown, and ended up finding the perfect one on www.idogowns.com.au which she altered slightly to make the stunning dress you see here.

2. My lovely wife was in the bridal party... a rare privilege!

It was a beautiful, overcast day at the HMAS Watson Chapel (James is in the airforce). After the ceremony, we travelled to three locations in central sydney; double bay, paddington & then finally centennial park, where James proposed & the reception was held.

Zimzala photo shoot

I really enjoyed my time shooting Zimzala on South Cronulla beach as it's so beautiful down there from morning through to night. I look forward to seeing some of the images I took going up on their website shortly.
